We offer this program to students aged seven and above
(students must be seven by December 31st). Below are the answers to some FAQ’s.
Members are required to take one ballet class per week, the company rehearsal on Wednesday evenings and at least one other technique class (Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Modern, Acro/Jazz, and Pointe). Hip Hop and Tumbling do not count as an additional technique.
We will all participate in a large group number and a finale dance in the recital. Then each dancer will have ONE group number. We also offer one large group tap dance for all dancers enrolled in a tap class, one large group jazz dance for all dancers enrolled in a jazz class, and one large group lyrical/contemporary dance for all dancers enrolled in a lyrical or modern class.
We will try our best to recycle costumes from previous years. However, we plan on purchasing one costume for each dance. Costume deposits are due by November 1st!
We choose to enter two competitions for the year and do several performances and workshops. The schedule will be set by the end of October/beginning of November. A typical competition costs around $40-$45 per entry.
Every company member has THREE excused absences. After these, the dancer may be asked to resign from the company or withdraw from certain dances. A dancer may also be asked to resign due to a negative attitude.
The 360 company is a positive place where every dancer is expected to do their BEST! The teachers at Dance 360 will be devoting a lot of their time to this company and will be taking it very seriously. When dancers are absent or late, it makes it difficult to choreograph.
However, illness and family commitments are important. If you are unable to attend a company event, it must be given to Miss Tracy in writing.
Dance 360 warm ups are available in child sizes for $80* and adult sizes $90*. You can also buy specific dance shoes. Style/color TBA.
*Prices are subject to change.
At Dance 360 we try our very best to keep the costs down. We will not be choosing the most expensive costumes or competitions/workshops. Majority of our performances will be throughout the community. Additional cost will not be levied on the students for this.
We will also be awarding several scholarships to dancers, based on talent and work ethic. The cost of the required technique classes is the same as our regular tuition, with an additional cost of one class per year. For example, if your child takes ballet, lyrical, and the company rehearsal, it is three classes per year.
It is important for everyone to understand that the intensive is about helping us make sure that you are placed with other dancers best suited to your current skill level, as well as to afford our dancers the experience of a real "audition".
By doing this, your classes and competition dance experiences will be more fulfilling and fun, and you will be better prepared for dance experiences outside of the dance studio. The intensive itself should be taken seriously. On the other hand, we want everyone to have a good time and support each other.
The Company Intensive is typically held the first week in September.
If you would like to join the company, these dates are mandatory. The intensive fee is $135 and the deadline to register is typically in mid-August.
