MOMMY & ME: Walking to Age 3

This class is designed for the very young, beginning dancer. Mommies and caregivers are invited to participate during this class. This is the perfect class for children that have never been in a classroom setting before and are still working towards participating in a dance class all by themselves. This is a 45 minute class that does not take part in the yearly recital. This class is run in sessions throughout the year.

COMBO: AGES 2 1/2 - 4

This hour class consists of ballet, tap, and jazz. This class introduces the young dancer to all three forms of dance. Students learn the disciplines of dance while having fun and promoting physical coordination and mental concentration. Students will enjoy learning about different dance styles in one class and the varied structure keeps their focus and interest at its peak. The students will perform one dance style in the yearly recital!
Dress code: pink tights, pink or black leotard, pink ballet shoes & black tap shoes.

COMBO : AGES 5 - 9

This hour class consists of 20 minutes of ballet, 20 minutes of tap, and 20 minutes of jazz. This class introduces the young dancer to three different forms of dance. Students learn the disciplines of dance while having fun and promoting physical coordination and mental concentration. Students will enjoy learning about different dance styles in one class and the varied structure keeps their focus and interest at its peak. The students will perform one dance style in the yearly recital!
Dress code: tights, leotard, pink ballet shoes & black tap shoes.

BALLET: AGES 7 & up

Ballet is the foundation of all kinds of dance. A strong foundation in Ballet is important in the growth and development of other forms of dance. This class teaches the discipline and exercises of Ballet, appropriate positions, exercises and combinations for the barre and center floor. Dancers will learn to execute beautiful posture, alignment, flexibility, strength, and grace. The students will perform in the yearly recital!
Dress code: pink tights, black leotard, hair in a bun & pink ballet shoes.

HIP HOP: AGES 5 & up

Hip Hop is a fun, positive and energetic experience that is geared towards the experienced mover/dancer, hip hop novice, or anyone who just wants to move! Classes include stretches, across the floor and choreography with contemporary moves to current music. Students will learn to loosen up, gain rhythm, & gain controlled isolated movement. The students will perform in the yearly recital!
Dress code: black dance sneaker, no jeans or baggy T-shirts.

TAP: AGES 7 & up

Tap incorporates learning the intricacy of rhythm along with executing the clarity of tap sound. We strive teaching the student to use their feet as a percussive instrument. Timing, Musicality, and Rhythm are concentrated on during class. The students will perform in the yearly recital!
Dress code: black tap shoes, proper dance attire

JAZZ: AGES 7 & up

Jazz is a more free formed style of dance than Ballet but will also include stretches, barre work, center floor combinations, and choreography. This class develops style, strength, flexibility, and coordination. The students will perform in the yearly recital!
Dress code: tan jazz shoes, proper dance attire.

LYRICAL/CONTEMPORARY: AGES 8 & up

Lyrical and Contemporary are artistic, expressive dance forms characterized by grace and precision of movement, using highly emphasized Ballet, Jazz, and Modern technique. The students will perform in the yearly recital!
Dress code: tan jazz boot, proper dance attire

MODERN: AGES 10 & up

Modern dance is an innovative dance style based on the techniques of leading modern dance companies. One of the most creative movements in the dance world, it requires flexibility, strength, and an open mind for experimentation. The students will perform in the yearly recital!
Dress code: bare feet, proper dance attire

ACRO/JAZZ : Ages 7 & up

Acro/Jazz is a style of Acrobatics used specifically for dancers. It is a genre of dance which incorporates elements of gymnastics, jazz, balancing and contortion. Students learn Acrobatic tricks such as handstands, cartwheels and aerials, chest stands, elbow stands and walkovers. Trick movements are usually executed slowly to emphasize gracefulness, body lines and picturesque extension. Acro/Jazz offers more depth and variety to your dancing and creates a much more versatile dancer. To master an Acro/Jazz trick, students must develop a good foundation of strength and flexibility, thus emphasis is placed on extensive conditioning and stretch and strength training. When students are learning new tricks, the teacher utilizes professional spotting techniques; which is necessary to ensure safety and build confidence.
Dress code: bare feet, proper dance attire

TUMBLING : Ages 4-6

Come & join us for a fun hour of stretching, tumbling, moving, & grooving! During this class your child will stretch, strengthen, & learn the basics of tumbling. Students will utilize the mats, trampoline, balance beam, tunnel, & more!!!
Dress Code: Comfortable clothes your child can move in, bare feet

MUSICAL THEATER: Ages 7+

Musical theater is the study of Broadway dance and dance styles. Young students as well as teens learn choreography from selected musicals. At Dance 360, we offer beginner and intermediate musical theater dance. Our focus is on Broadway musicals old and new! Our instructors introduce song and choreography into dance techniques and styles.
Dress code *Heels may be required for intermediate level dancers

PROPER DANCE ATTIRE:
  • Hair pulled back.
  • Proper dance shoes.
  • Leotards, tights, fitted tank tops, yoga pants, & other fitted/stretchy pants.
  • No large jewelry, tee shirts, or baggy pants.
  • Combo classes are not permitted to wear laces on their Tap shoes.
